A little bit about myself

Mike Morabito is an award winning saxophonist and educator in the Greater Hamilton and Greater Toronto Area. Mike started playing saxophone at the age of 14 and very quickly realized that music was his life’s passion, so he decided to pursue it as a career. After finishing high school, Mike attended and graduated from the music programs at both Mohawk College and Humber College receiving an Advanced Diploma and Bachelors Degree, both with honours, in saxophone performance. Mike has had the privilege to study with legendary Canadian and American jazz musicians, Joel Frahm, Adrean Farrugia, Kirk MacDonald and Kelly Jefferson. Mike has performed all around Southern Ontario and has been featured at many amazing events such as the Toronto Undergraduate Jazz Festival, TD Oakville Jazz Festival, TD Brantford Jazz Festival and the TD Niagara Jazz Festival. Aside from being an accomplished jazz saxophone player, Mike is also an avid music teacher. His years of experience have left him very comfortable with teaching all types of saxophone, flute, improvisation, ear training and theory from all different musical styles.
